Our Vision

To be faithful to our mission through a fellowship of house churches who walk out

Spirit-led life together, with specific attention to four fields the Lord has given us:

  •  Our Neighborhood (Planeview)

  • The Nations (Equipping and sending missionaries)

  • The Next Generation of children

        - Our own

        - Those in Planeview

        - Those in need of fostering and adoption

  • The Next Generation of doctors

       - Equipping and sending new doctors across the country and.           world to carry Spirit-directed discipleship everywhere they             go.

2 Corinthians 8:9

Our Distinctives

01

CAP is led by a Servant Elder Team (SET) and Servant And Leadership

Team (SALT) who prayerfully steward the vision, finances, and order of the

community.

03

As Shepherds within the body, the Servant Elder Team is responsible for

Leading (1 Peter 5:1-3), Feeding (1 Timothy 3:2-3; Titus 1:9), Protecting

(Acts 20:28-30; Titus 1:9) and Healing (James 5:14-15; 1 Thessalonians

5:14)

02

The word “Servant” is emphasized within both groups in order to model our

Master, and be clear about our first responsibility to the body of Christ.

04

The Servant Leadership Team meets monthly to provide a “pulse check” on

the body - praying through the health and needs of each house church,

laboring to maintain unity in the faith, and seeking the Holy Spirit’s

direction on how to be faithful to our mission and vision

05

Church at Planeview does not have paid staff or leadership

07

Finances are stewarded by the Giving Team as outlined by CAP giving

guidelines and procedures

06

New house church leaders are added by recommendation of SET and SALT

08

Those interested in CAP are encouraged to “visit” each house (in order to

make connections and relationship within the larger church), and meet with

the Servant Elder Team for an opportunity to learn about mutual desires and

hopes for church fellowship.

09

CAP house churches are similar in their commitment to the stated mission,

vision, and values, while allowing, and even celebrating, differences in

practical expressions of these values as walked out in different groups.

10

Church at Planeview encourages members to prayerfully consider living in

Planeview, but does not see living in Planeview as necessary for fellowship.

Church at Planeview affirms and agrees with The Apostles' Creed.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy apostolic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.
